Most small or tiny house don’t have enough space for a large family dining table, however this mobile dining unit, by Nobuhiro Teshima, may be the perfect solution. The unit serves as a storage cabinet most of the time, but has the ability to transform into a large dining table as seen below!
Altogether the table can sit up to eight people in the traditional Japanese style, with the diners sitting on the floor, but the table can also be raised allowing it to be used as a gaming table when required.
The bottom of the cabinet features wheels that allow the entire piece to be moved to wherever it’s needed – to a dining room for meal time, or stashed in a corner to free up some extra floor space.

One of the coolest pieces of furniture I have ever seen.
Agreed – it’s awesome!
Where can I buy furniture like this?
Hey Steph – This piece of furniture was produced by a designer, so it’s probably just a one-off. Where can you get furniture like this? IKEA and other large retailers have some great multifunctional furniture/storage pieces that won’t cost you an arm and leg.
Where can I buy this?
Hi Mlrza – like I said above, it’s probably a one-off piece by a designer and so most likely isn’t available for purchase!
How high off the ground can you move the mobil table?
Jeff – I have no idea, seeing as it was a piece by a designer, it’s unlikely that it went into production. If you’re into your woodwork you could always have a go at creating your own. I think the Japanese usually sit near, or on the ground for meals, hence how low it is in the pictures

Even if that cost a arm, where can we see and buy those furniture ?
In Paris, London … ?
Thanks for a good answer. Daniele
Hi Daniele, I think the table was a one-off piece of furniture by a designer.
