This modern, clean-cut home is constructed from a repurposed shipping container, and while I’m not entirely convinced that shipping containers are suitable for use as homes, this one (at least from the outside) seems like a rather cosy pad. From ContainMe!:
“The COMMOD House by ContainMe! is a 100% recyclable modular house made from repurposed shipping containers. The modern home can grow or shrink according to its residents’ needs, it features a low energy footprint, and it’s made form healthy, low-voc materials like clay, wood, cellulose and steel.”
Other similar projects involving shipping containers include the 2+ Container Home by ConHouse, and the fantastic mobile home from Port-A-Bach architects (be sure to check that last one out, it’s awesome).
